Hundreds of thousands of people in Somalia are in imminent danger of a full blown famine.The worst drought in 40 years, terrorism at home and foreign conflicts like the war in Ukraine have brought widespread food shortages and soaring prices. Huge numbers of people are gathering in displacement camps as they go in search of nourishment for their starving families. Often, tragically, it’s too late. As Correspondent Peter Smith reports, Somalia is a country on the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.
